Legal
Privacy policy
This notice describes how vantacd, Meerstraße 12, 31515 Wunstorf, Germany, processes personal data when you read https://vantacd.world/ and related pages. vantacd publishes an editorial guidebook. It is not a travel agency and does not operate a booking account system. Contact: info@vantacd.world, telephone +49 5033 91840.
Controller and representative
The controller within the meaning of Article 4(7) GDPR is vantacd at the postal address above. There is no appointed data-protection officer because vantacd does not meet the statutory thresholds for a mandatory officer. Enquiries can still be sent to info@vantacd.world with the subject line “Privacy”.
Server logs and hosting
When you request a page, the hosting environment may store technical data that is typical for web delivery: IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer if sent by your browser, user-agent string, and status codes. This processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the security and stability of the site, including the detection of attacks and faults. Log files are retained only as long as needed for those purposes, usually a short rolling window defined by the host, and are then deleted or anonymised. vantacd does not use these logs to build marketing profiles.
Newsletter
If you submit an address through a form that posts to signup.php, vantacd processes that email in order to send occasional field notes about seasons and routes. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to info@vantacd.world. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. vantacd will not sell newsletter lists. If a professional mailing provider is used later, that provider will act as a processor under Article 28 GDPR and will be named in an updated version of this page.
Cookies and local storage
The site stores a preference key named cookie_notification in local storage after you use “Accept all” or an equivalent denial function, so the banner does not reappear on every visit. This is a strictly functional preference. Details sit in the cookie note. vantacd does not run advertising networks or third-party tracking pixels on these pages.
Fonts and third-country connections
Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser may therefore contact servers of Google Ireland or Google LLC. That connection can transfer technical data such as IP address to a provider that may process data in the United States. vantacd uses the fonts to present a readable editorial layout. If you do not want that connection, use a browser extension that blocks the font request; system fonts will then apply. Legal bases considered for this design choice are Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and, where a transfer occurs, the relevant transfer tools used by the font provider.
WhatsApp, telephone and email
If you contact vantacd via WhatsApp, telephone or mailto:info@vantacd.world, we process the content you send and the metadata the channel provides (for example a WhatsApp number) in order to reply. The basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR if the message concerns a pre-contractual request, otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. WhatsApp is a service of Meta. Using that button is your choice; email remains available. Messages are kept only as long as the conversation and any legal retention duties require.
Recipients and transfers
Recipients are vantacd’s hosting and maintenance providers, acting under contract. There is no regular disclosure to other controllers. Any transfer outside the European Economic Area would be described here and would rely on an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
Retention
Editorial enquiries are stored until they have been answered and a short follow-up period has expired, unless tax or commercial law requires a longer file. Newsletter addresses remain until you unsubscribe. Security logs follow the host’s deletion cycle.
Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection as set out in Articles 15 to 21 GDPR, and the right to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For vantacd’s establishment in Lower Saxony, this is typically Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany. You may also contact the authority in your place of residence inside the EU.
No automated decisions
vantacd does not take decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects concerning you within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
Updates
This text reflects the site as operated in 2026. If processing changes in a material way, vantacd will revise this page and, where required, ask for new consent.
